What's the difference between the long, medium and short rice grains?

Long grain rice has a long and slender kernel. This is widely available in the market. While medium and short-grain rice has shorter and thin kernels. Cooked long grains are separate, light and fluffy. Cooked medium and short grains are stiff, tender, fluffy and easy to swallow.

Where are your products available?

Our rice is available in Coimbatore, Tirupur, Pollachi, Udumalpaet, Salem, Kangayam, Erode.

How your rice is different from other brands?

We source a particular variety of paddy from select farmers from a region. These paddy varieties are high in demand and not cultivated widely due to various reasons. We source the finest quality paddy varieties and process it in a standardised method i.e., the malar way of doing it. Through this, we can maintain consistency in quality.

Where do you procure paddy?

Paddy is procured from Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Andra, Telangana and Maharastra. Our premium varieties of rice are procured from Karnataka and Maharastra.

What is the suggested ratio of rice: water?

Wash the rice well and then soak it in water for 30 minutes. Correct measurement of rice and water, cook time and pot size is important to achieve the perfect result every time. We suggest using 1:3 ratio of rice and water and waiting for 3 whistles to turn off the burner.

How aged your rice is?

The paddy is stocked for ageing for a minimum of one year. Components like starch, protein are unchanged during the ageing process. But this process enhances the flavour and texture of the grain.

How do I store this rice?

It has to be stored properly and protected from infestation. For best results, place the product in a sealed container and store it in a cool, dry place.
